Maintain to be quids in
There is more to maintaining a vehicle than just having it regularly serviced. In this blog I am going to list 4 things that help improve fuel consumption. More tips can be found at http://www.freightbestpractice.org.uk/ and its even possible to order DVDs and leaflets free of charge on the subject. 1. Check the seals around the fuel caps, damaged or missing seals increase your fuel costs. 2.Check for missing tyre valve caps again missing ones cost you money in fuel. 3.Check your exhaust smoke - if its got traces or large amount of black smoke you may have a problem! 4. Check your oil consumption, if its too much and you have no leaks then there could be internal wear thats increasing your costs. Combining maintaining with fuel efficient driving practices means you save money all round.
